if yer talking about the satrand in our dna that gets smaller each time it replicates itself......if they found a way to make it stop getting smaller, you could effectively freeze your body in time and stop making it degrade.

Are you kidding? That means I could stop my son from getting older when he gets to 11, and then I'll basically have a free slave because he'll never get big enough to stand up to me!

Hoe the garden!
Wash the dishes!
Mow the lawn!

And that report is BS. The wording is too sensational, and there's too many "top secrets" pasted everywhere.

The thing about this is, how many of you would want to live forever knowing how long you would have to work to suport yourself forever? Now I know that you wouldl eventually be able to earn enough that you could live off the interest and that living forever would give you the time to learn so much shit it would be rediculous but seriously, who wants to work untill there 200 so they could retire for 400 more years??

It's complete b******t. If this was true, you really think something this sensitive and top secret would be easily released to the public? no way, just some person with a high vocabulary imitating government coverup / conspiracy in an effort to get some publicity

=( It's intriguing to think for a minute though you can be immortal. Being in yer prime for 300 years. oo yar!

I support this as long as I get to choose who gets to be immortal. If it will be widely available to normal people not selected by me then forget it.

Experts believe they are a little nearer to tracking down a gene which may influence how long you live.

Belgian researchers say it is probably passed from fathers to daughters and mothers to sons on the **** chromosome.

There is some evidence that suggests a reduction over time in the length of key pieces of DNA in the human cell may contribute to the diseases of old age.

I'm enjoying my life, age 18-65. I expect after 65 it might be uncomfortable, but probably still just as fun. I have a lot to do and I don't think 400 years is enough time.

i think the general idea is you just stop aging at about 25 when the hormones stop making you grow.. so at 65 you would look and feel the same as you did at 25, at 400, at 3 million. Its not like you just dont die you actually just stop aging, so like if you got shot you would be still dead, if you got cancer you would still die, you just wouldnt die of old age or diseases directly related to old age.
