I'll probably buy it, since I'm still enjoying it. I hope I can just pay for a license key online though. And I need to find a good clan, since it seems like that's really a necessity for this game.

Just for your info guys its not that cheap. Its the same price as SWG here in canada. It appears they only have a 2month game card, and not a 3month plan. I wasnt too impressed.
Basically the game is 59.99 to purchase. Then the 2 month game card was 39.99 if you figure it out thats more then EQ is for 3 months.
To buy EQ it costs 39.99 for the whole thing. OPpps i mean 29.99 for the whole thing then 29.99 or 19.99 for the addon pack. Then for 3 months its 59.99 for the game card plus taxes.
Swg is 49.99 for 2 months game card plus 59.99 for the game. Its basically the same price.
Although so far i am finding that Lineage 2 is better then SWG at the begining even with the lag, and bugs. SWG is pretty hard to understand at the low lvls that have no idea where to go.
Not sure where you guys live but i would recommend buying it with a CC otherwise it tends to hit the pocketbook more with Gamecards
just thought i should mention it.

I wish they had game cards for DAOC. I have an account for that still.
I may try going back to Lineage 2 or PVP EQ unless the EQ pvp sucks?
Mind telling me what PVP in EQ is like vrs PVP in lineage.
Thanks

in the US its 49.99 for the actual game, which i think is pretty bad for a mmorpg that your still gonna have to pay to play... and 15 a month which is even worse than EQ or DAOC. I still think its worth it to start new on a new game though.

50 is pretty standard game price here, EQ still costs more than that evolution + ldon + god = 70
EQ PVP sucks, its all overpowered and retarded because of gear in the game and L2 is actually a game where pvp is a real part of the game instead of a retarded add on to draw rejects off normal servers.
Also consider this, how much did you spend on expansions for EQ, DAOC and those other games, L2 doesnt charge for expansions, they are all 100 percent free.

Actually when i first bought EQ it cost me 1000's of dollars over the 5 years. Including the computers and the accounts and the internet connections. I have 5 top end systems running EQ
Yeh addiction, but it was fun botting your own group.

BestBuy has it for $39.99. Sticker is $49.99 but the sale ad has $39.99. Bought it and was charged $34.99 so go figure.

I just bought the CD key online since that was easiest. Not like a manual would tell me anything I didn't already know

Heh. Reminds me of SWG. The day that came out, I decided to get it. I called up the nearest mall, which was about 18 miles away. All they had was the "collecter's edition", so I said fine, hold one for me. Since it was a nice (hot/sunny) day I road my bike there, over miles of rolling hilly back roads. I get there and see the box is the size of a small suitcase, and say "hey, if you guys want the box, or the little pewter figure or whatever you're welcome to it - I just want the license key and I'm going to throw out everything but the CDs"
The guys working in the game store did as good an impression of three portly nerds having simultaneous heart attacks as I've ever seen. They insist that the box was an excellent addition to any game collection, and they couldn't in good concience allow me to discard it; I'd be crazy not to keep such a valuable thing, what was I thinking, etc etc. Uncharacteristically for me, I think maybe there's something in what they say (must have been heatstroke or something, it was damn hot). I realize I've got no conceivable way to carry this huge box on my bike - it's got a little case under the seat big enough for a patch kit and a cellphone and that's about it. So it finally occurs to me to stuff the huge box under my shirt (which only barely fits and is hideously uncomfortable) and ride 18 miles home over the hills in the hot sun that way. Needless to say my wife laughed hysterically when she saw it - I let her take the little figures and stickers in to work so she could show her coworkers what an idiot she married, and the box has been gathering dust on a shelf somewhere ever since, and I stopped playing long ago.
So I say, s***w boxen and manuals. Although a CD would be nice I guess.
