I haven't totally figured out how goblin aggro in places like Ratchet, Booty Bay and Gadgetzan work yet, but I need to know what I can do to defend myself, since I'm only 33 and all the bored lvl 60 douchebags have nothing else to do but try to mess with me.

Obviously if an enemy player attacks someone, the guards will aggro on them.

- How about traders, bankers, AH: do all goblins aggro, or just guards?

- How far will goblins chase people? Not very far from what I can see. Not into the water in Ratchett for sure. Will they chase you out of a shop, or not leave the shop? Or will only guards chase you a long distance?

- Once the ones that are chasing you have given up, will additional goblins still aggro on you for awhile if you get close to them? What's the cooldown time?

- If someone attacks me but I don't fight back, am I still considered to be "fighting" so the goblins will attack me too? What if my pet automatically defends me? What if I actually fight back if I was attacked first, or defend someone else?

- What can you do to lose aggro? Could a rogue hit me and stealth to immediately lose aggro? Could I invis to immediately lose aggro? I know if I jump in the water and stay there for awhile that works.

Any good strategies for not getting ganked in town?

This morning I got attacked by a lvl 60 orc rogue in the AH in Gadgetzan - I wasn't particularly worried since there were two level 60 alliance and a level 40 alliance there, but he killed me then he killed the level 40. I'm pretty sure the auctioneer attacked him, but he lost aggro really fast and just stood there. I sent "wtf" tells to the 2 lvl 60 alliance guys, one claimed he didn't notice, which was b******t; I didn't say anything but the level 40 was screeching "f**k you you a*****e" the whole time he was being killed), and the other goes "I'm on TS with him now; he's my friend and he's helping me transfer money to my other character". So asswipery like that aside, could the other 60 actually have helped, or would he have been killed because he couldn't do some rogue trick to lose aggro?

And it didn't occur to me until later, but I wonder if I had used my discombobulater ray on him to polymorph him next to a guard after I rezzed, could I get a guard to attack him? Then could I run into the inn and insta-log (since there's no logout timeout in inns)? Or would I be "in combat" so it wouldn't let me log? How do you get "out of combat" anyway, and can you tell?

Lots of good questions. I know in Moonglade, it has similar rules. A druid tried attacking me there. He died and I lirlled with extra lozzle sauce.

Only the guards will attack in the goblin towns, they don't chase very far but they can't be stunned/feared. Usually if you get attacked first and protect yourself you won't get aggroed but i've had bugs sometimes when fighting rogues where I do (I think they use some type of escape shit that makes them lose agro and go on me)

Other than that, if you're low lvl and get attacked by a higher lvl in a goblin town just try to run away and run past every guard you see

Go into your reputation window and click the check box beside the "At War" option. You can now fear, taunt, polymorph, etc. all of the members of that faction.

Obviously this doesn't help a level 33 much, but if you're on the opposite side of the fence (bored level 60), it can make PVP in the goblin towns that much easier. Of course you can still outrun the guards and avoid any faction hit. When you check At War, you don't become KOS, but your glove pointer will just turn into a sword and you can now target them with whatever.
