I only seen newbie island but oh well.
Graphics...wonderfull.
Control? hmmm not as good as EQ so far.
can you costomise your screen? if not I dont like it.
Quests? wow easy and very fun to do and the exp is great.
the solo and group idea for monsters is great you get to know if you will get the agro of 1 or more mobs at once. And if you defeat a group you get an exp bonus. GREAT IDEA.
Durability of items? good idea.
Harder to level up? Not really.
trade skills etc...? so far I like them I never eally got into them in EQ.
Class advancement? I like the way it work, it's diff from EQ.
So far the down time is shorter you get to kill more without resting.
Thats it for now. Those who say thats it's a piece of crap are not in beta or where not playing EQ at it's release. No way you can hate the game.

I will be going for a DE Necro myself. Which is Mage > Summoner > Necro. The other path I had thought about was Preist > SHaman > Defiler.

You can fully customize your screen mael. Just right click on each window there are a ton of options.

Level 23 guardian, level 20 mystic, had a level 17 crusader...been playing for 3 1/2 months and I still have that feeling at work where I can't wait for my day to be over so I can log back in...
I haven't had that since maybe Kunark/Velious release.

Tradeskills are the biggest pain in the ass you could possably have. I'll explain,
One, it takes 11 made items to make a "finished" item, like a weapon..or a spell.
If you want to make the "uber" shit, which in spell's and skill's case, would be adept3's..your shit-out-of-luck. To even MAKE the spell, or skill, you need the dropped book. Rare as a mother f****r, but thats the easy part. You need the dropped "refine" books, 2 infact, to make spells..you need the book with the dye, and the book to make the ink.
You would have better luck in vegas playing blackjack blind than you would finding those books.
Oh, and you need a rare resource, which you get from normal resources..i would say the odd's are in the single digits..low, single digits.
The game itself isnt bad, lag's an issue, i have my shit turned down, but without atleast a gig of ram be ready for frustration in qeynos, doesnt seem *as* bad in freeport though.
Combat is good, looks good, no real complaints. Quest system is sub-par to WoW's. Be prepared to be lost as shit, just like in EQ..maybe worse.
Linked mob's kinda suck, it basically tells you whats going to happen, no real suprises..personally i like the mobs labled "group", dont like it showing you they are linked, that sucks imo.
You can solo pretty much 1-50, albiet it's gonna get slower the higher you get, grouping is a must.
ATM all priests, fighters and rogues are about the same..no real diversity, atleast not like a shaman and cleric in EQ. They are planning to make it more "unique" on what you choose, pray its better than it is currently.
Overall the game isnt bad, it isnt the "anti-christ" people say, personally i think you f***s badmouthing it would do so rather its solid gold or dog shit. So no matter what it is, it would suck in your eye's.
I dont know if i will play WoW or EQ2, i would rather play an "EQ'ish" game than WoW, but we'll see.
Oh, and with the graphics turned up..the game is bar-none absolutely beautiful, in about a year, when you can actually have all the shit on and not lag..it'll be awesome.

I don't mind getting lost too much in an adventure zone, makes it fun I think. I don't want to know exactly where I am in a new game. The town map is all I need as I hate getting lost in town.

I think the town map's could be better, show more detail..possably key NPC names. Would really love for town quests to show the npc on your map, make it a little less frustrating.
