Well, that looks to be the topic of a fun story, but it isn't.
No transvestites, no midgits, no farm animals.
Anyway, I push my clutch in and it sort of pops in. springy like, and when I release my foot, it doesn't come with. infact, it's stuck all the way at my floor board. I reach under the dash and grab it, and it springs back up, but the clutch has nothing now. infact... my hand is all wet.
On further inspection, it looks like I blew the hydrolic line that leads to the peddle inside the car. Tons of dot3 break fluid is now leaking all over my floor, and I had to drive my car a good 45 minutes home while trying to avoid red lights like AIDS.
Super, just in time for the holidays! On the up side, I made it home in one piece. Only had to blow 1 red light and like 5 stop signs. I slowed as much as I could for them though!
Can't wait to see what the $$ damage is on this one. Wallet rejoyce!

I hope you learned a valuable lesson from this.

Do you not give a shit about the people that were in danger due to your poor f*****g descision? I can't believe the choice you made. That's f****d up and you should honestly think about what you just did.

Automatic can beat a manual acceleration-wise, but manual is good for a racetrack with turns. Plus manual has that cool factor associated with it... gives you a more intimate control of the car, so to speak... I'd definitely take a manual over automatic.

sorry man that sucks nuts for sure.. the hydraulic line shouldn't cost too much though.. I blew my transmission back in august and it cost me 2200 for a rebuilt trans, new clutch and few other things.. but was well worth it, the baby has way more grab now =)

yes, I did think. This was of course 1:30 in the morning, and the 1 light I went through was on a back road, and I didn't go through it until I slowed to 5 coming up to it and clearly saw that no one was coming in any direction. It was a fairly open intersection in terms of line of sight. It's a "T", and I was going straight. there was a field on the right. no way a car could have snuck up.
As far as stop signs. again, back roads. I've ALWAYS come to a complete stop at them, just because I fear getting a ticket for rolling one. I've seen it happen many a time. In this case though, I still slowed down to 5 mph (slowest car will go in 1st) before creaping through them. I wasn't going to stop because I can't get it back into gear that way.

You know you can change the RPM at which an automatic changes gears? I'm sure most cars are not tuned for max power from the factory, more like "smoothest ride" or "best gas mileage."

Well like my dad always said.
If it's a toy get a stick but if you gotta drive it every damn day in stop and go traffic buy an auto.
