Does anyone here actually own their own small business. Meaning a small store, laundromat, ect, something along these lines.

...a transmission shop...for almost 20 years. He's my ex now, but after almost 24 years of marriage and 15+ years of running it for him, I consider it my business as well
It's an independent, successful as hell, and we don't advertise at all

i'm a small business!
on a more serious note, one side of my family owns a towing company which has been around for like 40+ years, they have three officies in central florida and the other side of my family owns a automotive body shop which has been around for probably like 50+ years.
i currently work for an industrial floor contractor. we have 4 employees here in our office (including me) and a crew of about 5. It's my boss, his wife, his step brother and myself. He's been around for i think about 30 years.

Bozeman, MT has a laundromat with couches, a big-screen TV, a pool table, a snack bar, video games, etc. Couldn't tell you if they make money, but it's a pretty cool place to go do your laundry. They're next to a college campus.

Put a wifi network in there too. It'll attract more people, and you'll pick up a little extra income from whatever wireless aggregator you go with.
