I want to play Eve Online in some time soon, and I need several answers to my questions. Most significant one is what skills are important for the best game-play? I have never played any MMORPG’s so I do not know anything that is regarded to this genre. Any help would be very appreciated and very welcomed. Is there any veteran player willing to help me?

In MMORPG, games there are many skills you must have and develop to have the best experience. You cannot just force one and improve it. All of them are very important. Eve Online is good game for both beginners and veteran players and it gives equal experience factor. You will have much fun playing it and gaining experience. Your skills are always improving and you must remember to balance them in the right way.

well as far as in game skills go you need to get all your learing up first but if you are talking about rl skills then it would be to have alot of time on you hands and be able to sit and watch a strip miner hit a roid for 3mins before you get any ore out of it

There are skills for almost everything. If u focuse on rising ship's skills ull hav to use lower quality weapons, shields, engines and other kinds of gear, so the best way, is to choose a profession (miner, producer, Fighter...) and focuse on the main aspects of each...

Skills are the most important thing in the game. There are many routes you can go.
Miner
Manufacturing
Research
Invention
Combat
Capital Pilot
Those are the main ones but there are many more specialized jobs you can do all based around your skills. For a beginer your first thing to do is raise your learning skills as they will help all your skill training go faster. Nothing is fast in EVE just remember that. You have to work hard and spend alot of time training skills to be good. I have been playing for 4 years and still have plenty of skills to improve on. But all in all its a good game. Your best money will come from Mining manufacturing and research. Its also the msot costly route. Combat can give money but take it away jsut as fast if you arent careful.
