All this site is, is a place for scammers to congregate, and scam! I'd say 10% of the population actually has some type of good intentions. While the other 90% are trying to sell scam or buy scam. Always through Paypal.

Does anyone actually EVER sell or buy accounts successfully? Where are the sucess stories? Why is it that all I see from this site is someone blaming someone else for scamming?

I've listed my Hunter several times, over the past 6 months. Unsucessful to sell it. The interested parties are always someone who I've found out has tried to scam someone else, by googling their email address. Or it's from stupid rent account "companies"

So, is this is for better or for worse? Seems to me that there are more scammers than there are actually people buying and selling. Seems to me this board is not monitored enough. Seems to me that the virtual economy would be better without Realpoor. At least then, scammers would have to work harder to scam people.

Am I wrong?

If all mods & admins were online 24 hours a day it still wouldnt stop people getting scammed. Someone getting scammed is alot more noticable than a successful trade, so i assume this is where you get your evidence from. There is a set of rules here and several informative articles, and if people abide by them it makes trading safer, not safe. There will always be a risk in trading, no matter what system is put in place.

But if you feel compelled to help combat the fight against scammers then get involved with the community, rise ranks and join us. Or just whine about it, whichever works for you.

There has been good trades, believe it or not. When I MMed for people, 90% of the trades I did went smooth. The other 10% is people who recovered their account.

So not everyone here is out to scam. Scamming usually happens when both people are being stupid. If a person sees an open spot they will attempt to scam.

I suggest when you trade here to know the all the facts about the person your trading with. Such as age, country, town/city, email address, user on RP ... and so on. Also, talk with the person before the trade to get to know him/her.

Another thing, avoid trading people who don't bother to waste an extra 2 seconds of their 'precious' time actually spelling properly. If they use MSN 'slang' it means they are in more of a hurry to scam.

Ive had 6 good trades from postings ive listed and a possible 5 others where ive offered on somebody else's post, there are a lot of decent people to trade with on here.

The fact you have a hunter wont help, they are not a desirable class, class of the moment is rogues and locks, followed by priests then mages.

It doesn't matter what site you choose to use... There will always be a 13 year old kid scamming you. I used to use markee dragon and built up a good rep over there until i got scammed by some one with twv and like 25+ positives...To not get scammed how ever is simply easy, u just got to know how to trade and give info wisely. I have done more trades/sell/buys the anyone on here and can detect a scam right off the bat. I have a few good way of preventing you from being successfully scammed.

Agreed, in the majority of cases it comes down to the person who has actually been scammed to blame, for not noticing the behaviour of the buyer/seller, usually because they're in a rush to complete the trade a.s.a.p rather than taking precautions. Slow and steady wins the race ~

Sorry what i meant was, there are thousands around already, most guilds dont invite hunters because of how many there are. Mind you that role seems to be passing to the locks more and more.

l0l, yes, u are wrong.

how much harder work is it to just transfer to another site?

theres more than JUST realpoor as a MMORPG trading site.

killing off realpoor would not benefit into reducing the amount of scammers there are, they would just look for more sites to scam.

The benefits of mmorpg trading sites are, over time, you HONESTLY get to know who doesn't and who does scam.

(Though maybe not everyone should know that.)

You can also look at it this way..

If Realpoor was shut down, thousands more would visit Markeedragon/Sythe/egamingsupply/ and they would be overwhelmed by more and more members joining making it alot more difficult to prevent scamming/moderating forums.

So, in effect...Realpoor ftw <3

Realpoor is currently set up to help people trade.

We do not have middlemen here

If you get scammed, its not our fault, you took the risk of trading without any backup i.e. middleman or proper secure trading ways.

Work it out. We are here to help, not to let people get scammed. If there is a scammer, we get them banned, permanently. They do not come back.

It's not too hard to weed out scammers from actual good people.

If a user takes a few days to discuss things with me, and is willing to give out personal info such as their name, age city/state and maybe some background info on themselves, then you most likely have a decent candidate.

Scammers on the other hand like to get you to rush through the process, especially ones that are like "ARMOY LINK GOGGO" and they usually take 5 minutes to answer your questions, IE: thinking of a lie. Another sign is poor grammar (I don't mean like when people do it on purpose, but when they seem like they are rushing.)

My advice to people is, take the time to get to know the other user, and like some people mentioned try and do a little research..

Not having boards like these would be like stopping people from using public streets to drive places.

"Bad things happen when you drive though?"

All the freakin time haha. I can't get more then 10 miles without having to get cut off or have 2 people in each lane drive the same speed limit when all I want to do is drive the speed limit.

Also throwing a cop on every street corner is just going to make people drive 10 miles under the speed limit like they do in Florida on 98 because at 3 pm (when school lets out) there is about 2 cops per intersection for about 10 blocks. School wont even be out yet and cars will drive 10 mph in a 45... The same thing can be applied here, too much monitoring and people are going to start freaking out worrying about making 1 small error and having their post deleted. Or getting temp banned.

And no offense but you can tell when a scammer wants to buy your account. Most of them can't even remember what they asked to buy... some guy last night I messaged asked me for a link to the account I was selling because he forgot what it was, a day later.
