Should we have a political forum?
I think we should have a political forum because i'm tired of reading the same cloned threads every day about the same topic involving the same arguments from the same people.
If you agree, vote accordingly.
This will also help with the NWS situation, as i VOW i will not enter that forum, ever.

Most people seem to participate in the political debates, especially when Eduin and maelstrom gets involved. Since this is "general chat", I don't see why particular lines of discussion should not be allowed because (apparently a minority) don't like it.

Nope. Realpoor gets what - 1 1/2 pages of topics a day or so? It's not like this forum is overcrowded. And every time you make it more specific (no EQ, no other games, no technical issues, etc) it gets less interesting.
I recommend just that if someone wants to post a pic in a thread that's not labeled NWS, just put the link without the [img] tags, and let people click on it if they want to see it.

This is a poor substitute because many people do not click links and the moment is lost because you have to leave the thread context to see it. Most comedy comes unexpectedly, and that's how the majority of the pictures are funny, because you aren't expecting them when you scroll down.

I vote "yes", and in fact I think we should take this idea and run with it. We can start by creating 26 separate forums so we can easily index our discussions by alphabetical order, and then we'll subdivide each of those forums into a carefully chosen list of 847 common topics for internet message board discussion. If necessary, we can extend this even further and create 7 separate forums for each day of the week, so the Monday Posters dont have to read the trash that the Friday Posters are always posting, and the Coalition of Tuesday and Thursday Morning Posters can finally evade those flame wars with the Wednesday Afternoon a******s that they always suffer extensively from.

a.) Nobody here has any real expertise in anything, so it's just a bunch of hot air blowing around.
b.) They degenerate into flame wars after 9 posts at most.
Having an intelligent conversation is one thing, even if you're only pretending to know what the hell you're talking about, but I'm waaay tired of all the Eduin, Maelstrom, etc. bashing.

Just so it's clear: I don't mean ALL pictures, just obviously NWS ones. I don't even particularly mind "welcome to last week" or "this thread is gay". Sometimes I chuckle, sometimes I don't, no big deal. Gaping a******s and pus-encrusted genitals could probably benefit from being links imo though.

I have extensive training in spotting shitheads, fuckheads, a******s, dipshits and of course, idiots.
This training combined with my natural innate ability to spot the above mentioned fools make me an expert in the field.

I think we should get rid of most of the other forums.
all the other forums have basically stifled any conversation on topics about anything except for idiotic one line posts, political rants, and whats your favorite <instert topic covered 100 times>.
move the political topics away (effectivly killing all political discussion) and all you have left if f*****g idiotic "I like to eat bread" posts.
if people wanted realpoor to be somewhat active again, the two things that should happen are:
1) combine all the forums minus the warez, such, porn..etc back into one.
2) add the "at work" button, or make the nws theme bullet proof.
