Anyone play this yet? I don't think I like what they've done with the combat sequences, but then again I haven't really played it. I might pick it up once I run through Shining Force 1 and 2 again. Just wondering how different the combat really is.

It was okay. Once you get in far enough, it's just b******t with the zillion spawns.

In ages long forgotten... Light fought Darkness for control of the world.
Dark Dragon led the evil hordes of darkness.
The Ancients fought back with the Powers of Light.
Dark Dragon was defeated and cast into another dimension.
The Lord of Darkness vowed to return in 1,000 years.
Time passed, and Dark Dragon was forgotten by all.
Ten centuries of peace ruled the land of Rune.
Until the kingdom of Runefaust brought war to Rune.
Hordes of evil creatures ravaged the land.
Here and there, strongholds of Good still held out...
awaiting a Hero who could wield the Powers of Light!
Lowe, Tao, Luke, Gort, Guntz, Pelle, Mae, Ken, Hans, Diane, Zylo, Earnst, Musashi, Lyle, Adam, Kokochi, Anri, ..all the characters I can remember off the top of my head.

I'm playing Shining Force 1 right now and it owns. I never actually played the game due to me not having a genesis, and stores around me still charging 55 dollars for Shining Force 1.
I was just wondering how good the action part of the RPG actually was. I know the fighting for FFXII is kind of akward to say the least.

Best games ever, ill always remember in shining force 2, there were 2 chests that I wasnt able to pick up, I tried and tried and tried searched every damn square on the map to find a way to them but it never worked...
until years after on the internet I made a search and found on a site that these 2 chests were in the US version BUT that you could only pick them up in the Jap version.
I would always reload the game when 1 of my toons would get a level to get the max stats possible
