Since last week I have some problems with accessing AO server. My friend said that it could be a proxy problem. Well, sincerely, last time I was setting proxy was about 10 years ago for my first ISP. I would really need some kind of assistance here, I forgot how to do it.

The proxy in the game has nothing to do with your browser proxy. Another thing: if you are playing from your home, connected via regular dsl or cable router, I doubt you have a proxy problem. More likely, it is a closed port problem. Go to AO website and see which ports should be open. Then check the portforward.com for further instructions.
