Whats this bankrupcy shit they just passed all about? Whats with the no raise in minimum wage, you can't live comfortably with 3 people in one household working for minimum wage, $5 an hour isnt enough to f*****g eat on.
First we create a society that is dependant on credit and debt, we build it up so the average person never gets out of debt even in death, then we make it so people are slaves to that debt for their entire life with no way to escape it.
Why not just make slavery legal again, seriously, i'm half sick of this s****y ass country.

Uhh..min wage isn't intended to support someone forever much less a family. Hell I don't even know anyone making $5.15/hr most make $5.50-$6.50 starting here.

Wrong.
Someone has to fill those jobs that pay minimum wage.
This f****d up country can't provide better jobs because they send hundreds of thousands of jobs that could support families, to other countries just to save a buck.
When all you can find is a minimum wage job, what are you supposed to do?
I know alot of people who considder car insurance as something that only rich people can afford.
I know alot of people who can't pay their bills on time because there are no jobs that pay well.
Here in tulsa when my company did layoffs, the unemployment agency told people they didn't have to bother looking for work because they already knew there simply are no jobs.
Seriously, i'm about sick of the poloticians forcing the population into a situation where they are forced to work for less and less just to be able to eat.
The prices on things go up and up, but the country obviously doesn't think it's important to raise pay as well as prices.
At this rate, yah the companies will drain every penny they can from the ecomony, but in return they will all go bankrupt because a nation of poverty can't afford to buy things.

I dunno Khrath I disagree. I think the problem is lazy americans.
I work in an industry that doesn't require a college degree. At the most a High School degree. I make around 30$ an hour.
I've offered to teach friends and people that I know everything that I know about the telecom industry. From fiber optic splicing, to installing and configuring OC-48's. The problem is no one really puts the time or effort into trying to learn or educate themselves.
I hear a lot of stories like this, but until I see people stepping up to actually help themselves I don't really care. I learned everything I know from being a pupil of people doing what I wanted to do. Most are more than willing to help others if they show the desire to learn.

1st of all minimum wage is defined as a wage meant to support a family of 4.
2nd the new bankruptcy REFORM is to prevent people from intentionally running up debt they never have any intention of repaying.
I know people in banking who had clients who had no problem admitting they ran up hundreds of thousands in debt just because they could, filed chapter 11, and lived happily ever after. Abusing credit and filing bankruptcy is tantamount to grand theft.

Only reason telecom pays so well is because back when it boomed, there weren't people around who could fill all the jobs, so the price went up.
We hire people on now at half the rate I got hired on at 5 years ago, telecom isn't even a safe career choice anymore, we've killed off 90% of our field technicians, thats what you are right?
Lazy americans are the problem, but if every american went out and got a degree, what would happen? All jobs that pay decently right now would pay shit, because of supply and demand.
If it werent for the people sitting back and being lazy, you'd be living in poverty also because they would be your equals as far as what you can offer a company.
Someone has to work the shit jobs, someone has to flip my burgers, why do they have to live in poverty though?
Why must someone spend their entire life in the debt of another, just to put a roof over their families head?
It doesn't cost mcdonalds 99 cents to make a double cheeseburger, it might cost them like 10 cents tops.
The thing is, companies pay execs millions each year, just to golf, while people who work their asses off get paid enough to afford a f*****g cardboard box as a home.
Bernard Ebbers, the guy who ripped off billions of dollars from american investers, currently gets paid 2 million dollars a year by MCI just to be a consultant from his ranch in Canada. He bought that ranch with a 300 million dollar personal loan from the company that he never has to pay back. His ranch is bigger than the state of texas. BIGGER THAN THE STATE OF TEXAS.
Tell me how this shit is alright man, tell me how I have to look at people go through life living like a second hand citizen, just so the rich can play god and control everyone?

state minimum wage is higher, but minimum wage seriously needs to be adjusted to inflation. Hasn't it been 14 years or so? Consider our representatives who have never learned the value of a dollar in their 60 year old lives and ask yourself if they really care, why should they? The truth is why raise minimum wage when the majority of minimum wage workers are illegals. Illegals who get instate tuition for themselves and their children, access to food stamps, and free health care and it only took a couple mile walk.

What we are experiencing in this country is a silent war, a war thats been going on for the past 20 years but its been covered up - This war is a war of the classes. Financial oppression, control of the people's time, if you think about it - Its what corporations do to us, its what politicians do to us. They keep us oooo'd and ahhhh'd by the media, give us little bites of the good life, all to keep us working and empowering the very people we are oppressed by.
We are all oppressed by this, unless you have millions of dollars, you are oppressed. We are kept busy with focus on racial tensions when the real tensions should be class tensions, people of all color are in this war but its so clever and schemed, no one realizes it. We are taught at an early age to be docile to this and we are brainwashed through school.
There really is only one color people should discriminate against, and thats green because its what controls us.

Higher minimum wage just means higher prices on goods. If I run a business and I can make $10 profit per unit, yet suddenly the government tells me I have to pay my workers $3 / hour more, so I'm only making $9/unit (yet getting no increase in worker skills or experience)... well, quite frankly, f**k the workers.
Even when I was making minimum wage, I never once bitched that the government should raise minimum wage.
I do believe subsidies are silly. If we have a surplus of food, find charity organizations to accept it.

The House is expected to pass the measure next month, delivering to President Bush a second victory this year on pro-business legislation he had sought.
Bush celebrates victory while you gnash your teeth in anger.
Only now in the end do you realize the true power of the dark side.
Yeah its wrong but there are no checks and balances anymore Bush is gonna pull this kinda shit like a laughing maniac for the next four years...

here its 7,45...
With this income 2 people living together cannot pay for food , appartment etc...
Makes me wonder...how can an employe even look at his employes's eye knowing that they cant even live with the bs salary that he give them?
even if they claim that we can all succeed in life thats f*****g b******t. They need millions of people to fill the BS jobs and its not true that everyone can have a good life.
Quite often those who win a bs salary work much harder then me. I admit it my job doesnt require me to work very hard yet Im paid $33 an hour.
The whole world if f****d up and things wont get better.
Worse is...many people always end up finding an excuse for the situation.

What sense would it make to go from one f****d up place to another?
Unless there's some uncolonized land out there we just happened to be missing, no matter where you live you're going to get f****d over by other peoples greed.
That doesn't mean it should be acceptable like some people, including yourself are implying.

Someone explain this to me.
California
The most expensive state to live in, in america, one of the most expensive places int he world to live.
Explain to me how mexicans, with no education can come across the border by the f*****g millions, live and work in that state, have homes and support families AND send f*****g money home on less than minimum wage.
The problem isnt wages, the problem is Lazy ass m***********s who wont do what it takes to pay thier bills.
No one said on the day you were born you are gonna live like Bill Gates, you are gonna have everything handed to your candy no working ass. If you want to make it in this country you got to f*****g pay your dues and work. Period.

If Bush and Republicans are okay, why do you keep complaining about getting screwed over? Democrats aren't in power last time I checked.

mexicans can't and don't do that.
I see those mexicans around here man
4 families of them live in a single trailer house that is falling apart.
that's how they survive, by living in poverty, but poverty here is better than living in the streets in mexico, that's why they do it.

exactly, which is why the republican party is the lesser of two evils. The democrats would rather have everyone but themselves working for minimum wage while THEIR companies outsource jobs. Heinz was in the process of outsourcing their IT right in the middle of the prez. campaaign and it was kept very, very quiet.
I'm just glad i'm in a career where the salary trend has always been upwards and the demand is steady, and there are not very many junior skill level people hired on into this anymore.
. The only thing that is going to solve this type of economic issue is some sort of massive upheavel that forces companies to compete for US workers again.
