Don't you guys save the plywood from the last hurricane?
Living in a northern state we get news footage of long lines at Home Depot for Plywood, OSB, etc..
Once the hurricane is done, what do you guys do with the wood? (Assuming it doesn't get destroyed of course)

South Florida perspective(cause I live here):
The long lines in South Florida are because Charley wasn't a threat to us and there was no need to buy plywood 3 weeks ago. Also with Charley, most of the stores here shipped stock to central florida, causing a slight shortage here. The last time we had to board up our windows was over 5 years ago. 5yrs + plywood in the back yard = rotted, hence the long lines at home depot.
As far as Central Florida where Charley hit, some of that plywood got blown away and thrown away plus they still have a buttload of debris from the last storm. With what happened with Charley, everyone is overly cautious, hence the long lines.

I stack mine in my garage. We've had the same wood since Andrew (1992)

I was actually thinking Realpoor needs the reverse of an ignore option. I'd like to be able to deny service to those deemed not worthy.....like say....Goraz.

Sounds like it's potentially worse now that it slowed down a bit. More rain = bad news.

Yeah it is potentially going to suck. I live in Melbourne which is about 30 miles North of Vero Beach (where they are currently predicting landfall of the eye). Unlike everyone else that can run and hide, I get to work until it is over (although at 2.5x normal pay, Thanks FEMA!) Should be interesting if nothing else, just hoping I don't become homeless. Even though I would just move into a fire station until I found new housing it would still suck.

I went through Hurricane Charley a couple weeks ago while at my parents house in Ft. Myers, and now this one is headed towards all my friends on the east coast. That sucks. I'm glad I'm up in NY, but I wish I was down helping out.
Frances is going about 9 MPH, so Florida is going to get saturated like crazy.

It's starting to get windy outside! I think Caleb and me are gonna go surfing in a little bit.
Just about every gas station is out of gas and sheets of plywood are going for $39.95 a sheet.
