Hi! I just downloaded the Beta version of EverQuest 2 and the fist thing that popped-up is NDA. Are NDA and CDA the same? I know what EULA is, but this NDA is new thing for me. Should I agree with it? Is that some kind of secrecy agreement or just different name fore EULA? Is this the way they secure there property or what?
Hi there! A non-disclosure agreement or NDA is confidentiality agreement and a legal contract between you and developers of the game. NDA's are commonly signed when two companies or individuals are considering doing business together. This type of legal agreement is used when one or more parties wish to restrict generalized use of confidential materials of knowledge from software that u bought. In case of EverQuest 2 NDA is legally binding document that all Beta Testers must agree in order to participate. Please be sure to read the entire NDA before agreeing cause that will directly effect what type of information about this game you are allowed to share with others. Violation of an NDA can result possible legal action depending on the nature of the violation.
