Is it true that Second Life client to become Open Source real soon? What do you think about it if it is true and do you think that this will improve or weaken the game? If this is true for what open source will they go for? What would you do if you had decision power?

I think that open source software is already in use. These open standard technologies are better and free and if I had any decision power I would do what they have already done. Squid and Apache is what they use as far as I know, but I am not a hundred percent sure on that. I think that everything will be moved to open standards and that is a good company policy. If nothing else, as soon as they do it, we will all be playing it for free and isnt it great. Of course you can play for free even now, but they everything will be free and we will all be equal.
