Hello, all.
I recently heard that eBay choose to disallow all auctions involving virtual property, such as MMORPG "items", developed characters, virtual money, etc. However, the one online source whose virtual property they're not banning is Second Life, for some reason. Can someone explain to me why this is so?

Well, according to one Hani Durzy, a spokesman for eBay, they're "not at this point proactively pulling those listings off the site" mostly because they fell that "there is an open question about whether Second Life should be regarded as a game."
Note, however, that this is not the first time eBay tried to pull off something like this, and each time the users found ways around the restrictions. I expect more of the same.
