Forgive me for saying so, but isn't the knowledge base a bit, you know, crap? On the technical side, I mean. Apparently, it can't even do a phrase search, or, in fact, search for items shorter than 4 characters. How come? Almost any search engine I can think of can handle these simple tasks…

Well, if you got your info from somewhere like this – http://secure-web7.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=356 – then I suppose you should have read down to the bottom of the page. Yes, the custom search engine is severely limited in certain aspects. However, you can (and should) use Google to do the localized searching for you. Just add the following to your search: "site:http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase"
