Hello,
I always wanted to be a fashion designer some day, and even though ATM this isn't looking likely, I heard of SL and the opportunities it offers for exploring creativity in that venue. I'm still just asking around about it, and I guess what I wanted to ask here is, what kind and degree of technical (as in computer) skills would I need to go into fashion design in SL?

Well, you'll definitely need some experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop and the like … Anything that supports image layers and alpha channeling will do, but most people use Photoshop or its OS clones. The learning curve is kind of steep, but if you keep at it, you'll eventually accrue enough tech skills to put your creativity to use. Good luck!
