We got into a bit of a discussion about setting up equipment over on some DJ board. I was having difficulty verbally explaining "First: get it effective, then: make it tidy."
For giggles, I had been collecting a bunch of images since I bought my little 2 mega-pixle camera. So, after sifting thru images of various set-ups I've done, I came up with this:
20 meg montage of gear placements was born.
I guess, the point of you all seeing it is: If I'm gonna spend 9+ hours cropping, brightening, timelining, fading, and other various editing efforts just to create some 20 meg video to save a bahzillion words typed...
You all gotta endure it as well.
There's only one "uncomfortable beat/transition" area affecting (I think) 3 slides at the most. Shortening up a few durations, and really desiring the "Face-to-face, out in the heat" to work, meant I needed a new vid clip. Since I was in there I did some brightening on the motion stuff.
I do know about transitions, but "artistically" chose to avoid using them. The music "hits" and the slides, I chose, needed to "hit" as well. The fades, however, where used to tie like-series together.
