This was a long time ago but thought id put it in anyway.
I sold a high-end WoW account a while ago when BwL gear was the best available, fully pimped warrior with all the trimming for £700 which is around $1400. He paid me by check which came and yes in my stupid haste i decided to hand over the details, all of them before i cashed the check. I guess i wasn't thinking that day. Anyway the check bounced..
It was to late since he had already given them my cd key and changed the email and what not so yes i was £700 out of pocket and well and truly f****d.
Anyways the good thing, two days before the check was deemed invalid / out of date i thought id try my luck so of to the bank i went and to my glee that bugger must of forgot all about it and hey presto he had enough money in his account haha!
Still to this day i haven't heard a word of him even now i've got my £700 so
Just thought id share this with you.

Did you ever think he actually didn't realize he had too little money in his account? How funny would it be if he was like "oh no!", and ran to the bank to hurry up and deposit money. And here you would be thinking he was an a$$...
Not that I'm saying that's likely, I just think it'd be pretty funny.

I was also scammed by a CHINESE SCAMMER but that was MY OWN FAULT. It was on this website but i made the mistake of being too hasty much in the same way you were. PLEASE people be very careful and certain before you hand over your account details.

I got hacked once.. twice, actually... Second time I got my account back, my gear back AND the hacker's account... he'd be too stupid to put the stuff he stole on sale the minute after he finished transfering.. I could see the names and items from a script, Market Watch.

Scammers ruin it all 
The amount of time i put into talking with a scammer about one of my accounts i feel like they have robbed me of valuable seconds of my life, i wish i could dispute that on paypal!

Just a quick question
If I sell something here is it OK to ask the buyer to wait for at least 2 to 3 business days before I can cash the check or for the money to get transferred to my account through pay pal for example.
Im used to deal with ebay and stuff, but recently it seems that character selling is a violation of some BS copyright rules.
