So... sell a guy some plat and now He tells Me He got scammed and it's gonna be awhile till He can pay Me and how sorry He is and all. Beginning to fell like I am the one that got scammed. I'm gonna give it a week... and if I haven't received a check by then... I will at least get the satisfaction of ranting some more and letting Yas know who it was.

I would really like to know who does it this way? Everybody I have seen wants the plat up-front.

The check was My idea... not Theirs. I don't trust Pay-Pal. Pay-Pal is not foolproof... the payment can easily be reversed as soon as They get yer plat. It all comes down to Trust and Reputation.

never, ever ever give anyone an account, items, plat unless you have real cash in hand first. There are dozens of scammers who do this kind of scam all the time.

Pay-Pal transactions can be reversed tho... so what is the difference between that and a check?

If they, or you for that matter, will not do Pay-Pal then do only accept a money order. That is the best way to ensure you are not going to get scammed outta your money.

Just take a fooking money order or Western Union.
When i buy stuff from people or ebay for example i always use WU for speedy results and they can't complain that they got scammed or something. =/

That is how just about everyone does it. It is stupid to give them the PP or account before you get the cash.

/agree wellspoken.

BTW if the cheque is legit give a copy to the police and report it as fraud.

no cash in the account and writting a cheque = fraud.

Normally before recieving cheques you cash them before sending out the goods. This way you know if its legit and all. Tend to get 3 scanned pieces of ID attached to the cheque to cover your own ass in the future. Signed cheques alone these days are useless.

But writting a cheque without cash in an account = serious fraud charges. They used to do alot against those ppl writting cheques for groceries, banking etc..

Same with visa/mastercard no signed statement, and no swipe they can go back on the purchases.

I am out 2600 bucks from that one Sad atleast they jailed the crew for that scam just no items where returned to the company Sad

It's not really that serious unless you overdraw your account by a few thousand. Bouncing a check on some stupid groceries is hardly going to get more than a fee slapped on by your bank. Half the time they pay it for you.

Unless I missed someone saying this somewhere...If you bought off EQ discounts they did just get scammed by for 3.7mil K. Friend of mine placed a order for 100k and didnt get it for a few days because they had to rebuild up their stock of plat. But in your Case...I assume you were selling your stuff from what I read which makes no sense to me why they would wait to buy it off of you if they needed it Confused . Hope that helps a little at least.

[Mon Apr 26 18:49:03 2004] Mercenairy tells you, 'bro we have to put your payment on hold for a few'
[Mon Apr 26 18:49:04 2004] You told Mercenairy, 'Sorry, I am A.F.K. (Away From Keyboard) right now.'
[Mon Apr 26 18:49:09 2004] Onium says out of character, 'Casting KEI, c1 and c2, along with VoG at the Nex stone. Hail the Dark Elf in white for invite.'
[Mon Apr 26 18:49:10 2004] Mercenairy tells you, 'someone scam'd us out of 4 million'

Confused Sad

This guy is also www.eqdiscounts.com - Paying MUCH more for plats!!!!

Will be happy to print a retraction if and when He decides to make it right. Supposedly... a check is in the mail.
