Trailer looks good. Too bad the film will spiral down into a cesspool of Toys-R-Us marketing gimmicks. Was wise of them to hide Jar-Jar, who inevitably will make an appearance. f**k Lucas.

fk lucas in the ass with 12 gays from SF. I hope he dies a slow horrible death for conceiving that jar jar character, I think he will find that his greed that drove him to make a persona that children can attach to easily hurt his films enough to make him a "pretty good" movie maker, and not a "pretty damn good"movie maker. He's a greedy tt with no interests now other than money. I hope (if he has kids) his firstborn chokes on one of his marketed toys.

what do action figures have to do with the quality of a film?

I fail to see the correlation.

Star Wars franchise fell when they came out with Jedi M&M's.

They're making a film they can sell toys for. They're not making a film to make a great film, they're making a marketing phenomenon and, if their plans are successfull, a 6-movie "epic" series which can milk the 90-and-lower IQ members of society out of their money, $19.99 at a time. Action figures are part of this plan. Also included are board games, children's bed sheets, T-shirts, wallets and of course plastic light sabers.

I like the Indiana Jones series, but I want to see Lucas try something different, like, oh I don't know, a movie with a character with depth.

Come on, the 1st 3 movies sold just as many toys as any flick in history, just now they have the logo on way more many products. He has merchandised the f**k outta all 6 films, not just these last 3, but nobody was complaining the 1st time around, they were calling him and his films "Genius"

Do you know why he has control over it? It had to do with a labor dispute, more than him being a greedy b*****d. He's so rich he actually backs his own films, which are clearly some of the most expensive to make. Anyways Spielberg directed the Indiana Jones movies, not lucas!

It's the 'in thing' to hate on George Lucas. Without Star Wars we might have never seen Alien, Blade Runner, the newer Star Trek series, etc. He revived a very dead genre of filmmaking.

It was a collaberation. Lucas had writing and producing credits.

I dont understand why people got mad at Lucas for using extreme special effects beginning with the special editions of 4-6 and then into ep 1. He would have used them had they been available to him 30 years ago. But I guess since he only founded a company that invented half the shit they use now he shouldnt use it, he should use puppets and models, right?

The special effects are fine, in fact I think they're great. The music is great, the actors are top-notch. The scripting is unforgivable though. It's just horrible. At least Ep 1 and 2 were.
