err really though...I watched this early/late this morning/last night and all I can say is...hmmm.

I don't know what the army has planned, besides going straight to baghdad from nearly all fronts, and surrounding it , suffocating it off from the rest of the country physically and internally (aka radio station, sattelite etc.


Well, they keep pointing all the arrows to bahgdad and they put a huge f*****g circle around it.

Now, after hearing what suddam says in his video...

something to the extent of:

God has blessed us with the technology to defeat our enemy.

Technology....

Huge circle around bahgdad...

all arrows pointing to the same place....

tryant leader willing to do anything to save his regime....

What are you saying - his plan is to suck as much of the US military into Bagdad as possible, then martyr himself, his people, and the US military all together with one giant WOMD?

If Saddam had a nuke, Tel Aviv would already be a smoldering crater. He wants piles of dead US corpses in the hopes it will cause a public outcry in the USA and the UK that our leaders will have no choice but to back off.

Judging by how squeamish we have become to US casualties of war, it's not a bad tactic by him, considering we are gonna string that f****r up on the nearest pole when we catch him anyways.

I would say that I "wouldn't" be surprised, but Im sure if I was watching TV and he wiped out everyone with a nuke, id be pretty f*****g bewildered.

Actually, what if he had a contagious biological WOMD that he released, that took months/years to kill (like AIDS, say, but not transmitted sexually). What if he infected thousands or tens of thousands of soldiers, who then came home and spread the infection through the US before anyone realized what was happening. Maybe wiping out 90-100% of the population.

Unlikely, but you could probably make a good thriller out of it.

I can envision the end of the movie, where Bush authorizes a nuclear strike against all the service people in Iraq, to prevent them from returning home and destroying the country. Sort of like the movie where the president had to shoot down the commercial jetliner, but taken to the next level.

No no you're missing the point. That's his secret weapon if he knows he can't win - like blowing up Bagdad with a nuclear weapon, but more devastating. He dies and goes to paradise or whatever, but he knows that soon the entire country that killed him will be destroyed. He'd go down in history as the saviour of the Muslim world if he destroyed the western world.

Although I'm not sure how he'd keep it from destroying the Muslim world too, but I think it's good enough to get a screen play out of, and I'm sure the studios have people who can write some plausible explanation for that.

Actually Sadam is a socialist (like Eduin) and in general socialists/commies don't believe in God. So, no virgins for him...

He did recently buy a shitload of anti-nerve gas crap (atropine I believe) and a bunch of chem suits, though.

Would be very Sadam like to try to lure us into a small area and then unleash the gas.

Scary stuff, however I don't think Sadam is still alive. That video was definetely filmed prior to the war starting, and if he was alive or well you can bet his butt would be on TV every night for real letting his people know that he is alive and well and ready to torture their a*s if they don't follow orders.

Obviously elements of his regime are still in power or the war would be over - but I don't thinkt he f****r made it past Wed last week. Doesn't mean that those left in power wouldn't do the same thing though...

There have been reports... granted I got them from the same place that everyone else does.. aka the media (ya I know... shoot me). but it has been alleged that Saddam told his Republican Guard that they have his permission to use biological weapons once the coalition forces have reached a certian "point" around Bagdad. I know that it seems rather farstretch but I do not put it past him one bit.

I heard from a few sources that the Republican guard has been digging trenches around bagdhad full of oil that they intend to light on fire to hinder our targetting efforts (smoke blocking out laser guiding I suppose), but since this would effect a very very small percentage of our guidance systems the pentagon reportedly speculates that they may be a way to martyr everyone in Baghdad (smoke choking everyone presumably).
