Am I the only one who thinks that SWG combat is too hard? Maybe it is because I am more of a casual player and this game is just for hardcore players. Or maybe it is something else. If you have the same problem please share the experience. I hope I will learn something that will help me to make the most out of this game.

This is a hard question to answer my friend. Opinions are different and they vary a lot in regard to this question. Some think that this game is dieing and the others that the SWG Online is in a healing process. Look, what people do is approach the game like it is suppose to be the movie sequel and it is not meant to be that. I like this game, but I consider myself to be a hardcore player. I dont think you should start playing online games with this game, because there are other games that are more suitable for casual players. In case you really want to play SWG Online you just need to be persistent and dont give up easy.

Actually, I can answer this question relatively easy. There's a few possibilities. One, the character class can make a huge difference. Two, direct 1v1 combat in PvE is simple. You can take on things 10 to 15 levels above you at lower levels and potentially easily survive. Try that in World of Warcraft and find out how quickly you die. You have the Incap system which bugs sometimes, but still useful. Let's you know if you're in over your head. I do think the kiting system is way jacked, and mobs should be leashed. I hated finding Lv 90 elite mobs sitting in a starting area of Tatooine where the mobs are supposed to be Lv 20 or so. The biggest problem with the combat is the occasional control issues where the mouse will not select the appropriate target, as well as the large conjunction of mobs gathered in a small area, forcing you to enter combat with more than what you can handle for something you have to have for a quest. The Line of Sight issues also cause a major problem. Seeing mobs engage me through doors, and shooting through 5 meters of concrete or whatever, is annoying when I try to return the favor and recieve the "Out of Sight" Error message or the mob is just not selectable. The health for mobs does need a slight reduction though, as the Stats need to have a more relative affect per level. The game needs a significant ammount of Balace, as well as put Jedi back at the rare class it was [Just make it SLIGHTLY easier] and put them back at their former glory.

I think that it is a lot harder since the fairly recent combat changes. I used to be able to solo just about anything and now it is a lot more challenging. Personally, I like it better.

For PvP... you need good equipment...

For hard PvE... you need a group.. thats how it goes.
