for some fekking reason every player I use to try and watch these does'nt work, says they're not a valid file type. any ideas.

changin players rarely if ever fixes the problem, due to the fact that they all share codecs.
You need to find the proper codec (compression decompression standard) in order to see the video.
Try this huge pack of codecs and see if that doesnt help...I had to use this to view the Appleseed video

lol downloaded that last night and did'nt help, it's not a divx compression format or any format that gspot can identify when I ran it on the files.

Too drunk to put forth the effort...
I think it's www.videolan.org but if that's not it then do a google for VLC media player... seriously it owns all players hands down. Simple interface, plays EVERYTHING, and subtitles are a breeze to have showing if they are available. I can't say enough about this program, it's abilities and it's near perfection. It's only downside is that it does take up more memory than WMP when you play something. Not much, but some. It makes a difference at work (a difference I ignore because of it's quality).
