Rennol the LOTR extended editions have 30-45 minutes of never seen before footage spliced into the movie itself... The extended editions are completely different movies and MUCH better IMHO .. they explain a lot of things and the storyline flows a lot better. The other CD's have some really great stuff on them too. I really enjoyed the last 2 and can't wait for this one!!!

haha, I'm the exact same way. I can't just buy the $14.99 version, I have to have the one that is $236.98 with 24 discs wrapped in commerative silk that has elvish written all over it.

I'm praying and hoping that the extended versions will have what happened to Sauraman and Wormtounge, and the razing of the Shire. That could easily take up an extra 30-45 min in itself.

This will not be in it. I read an interview with Jackson before ROTK came out and he said that while he wanted to do it it was too much for him to do or some such. So it was never filmed at all
