How can we have an old timer post without mentioning Arkon, and his GZ sword! We were all so impressed. Or mortak, who was a natural born a*****e, the kind that shat all over people, but we loved him because he got us great lewtz. As long as they wernt caster lewtz. Heh.
Was zezal a necro ? I remember him killing griffens in EC and was awestruck =). Or borgh, who spent more time in Guk then I did attending class in high school. I'm not even kidding.

For some reason I was thinking velious was the expansion that raised the level limit to 60.
To restate: It would be cool to have a new server open up with original EQ only...those expansions got out of hand.

the promo site for the drink had some very wierd videos that you could put your own subtitles to. guildies made a whole bunch, most of em starring jedite asking to tank the AoW. they were great fun. it used to exist at: fanta
sadly the links to our movies are gone though. =o(
and the site too is gone. here are some other people mourning the loss of fanta shokata. mourn fanta

People were talking about how sony should do this years ago, around or before pop was released.
Then I found the eq emu server and was like, hum this is a lot like org eq. Now eq just sucks ass and i can never play it again ever.

Jesus christ. It has been two years since I wrote this.
How times have changed indeed.
Played WoW from release until about a month ago when it got boring.. lvl 60 warrior with every item (pre AQ) in the game.
Killing giant bugs isnt my thing so I retired Paznos (I play/ed on Illidan horde side, taur warr)
Personally I dont think any game will ever match this one, the community, the competition and the feelings it evoked while playing it were unique to the time period.
Morteon was an extension of myself, he evolved as I did, matured (somewhat) as I did and was in essence a breathing part of me when I played him all those years ago.
My char on WoW is just that.. a char.. I log on i kill shit with sulfuras and then i log off...
Its just not the same.
Maybe im just lacking Galdaria is all : P
