Anybody want to do something like that? Maybe the winner could get mod privileges for a week, or ban someone of their choice for 3 days, etc? If you edit your post after or during the oscars, you lose!
Anyways, here are the nominees for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Sup. Actor and Best Sup. Actress:
Best Picture: Return of the King, Master and Commander, Lost in Translation, Mystic River, Seabiscuit
Best Actor: Johnny Depp, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl"; Ben Kingsley, "House of Sand and Fog"; Jude Law, "Cold Mountain"; Bill Murray, "Lost in Translation"; Sean Penn, "Mystic River."
Best Actress: Keisha Castle-Hughes, "Whale Rider"; Diane Keaton, "Something's Gotta Give"; Samantha Morton, "In America"; Charlize Theron, "Monster"; Naomi Watts, "21 Grams."
Best Supporting Actor: Alec Baldwin, "The Cooler"; Benicio Del Toro, "21 Grams"; Djimon Hounsou, "In America"; Tim Robbins, "Mystic River"; Ken Watanabe, "The Last Samurai"
Best Supporting Actress: Shohreh Aghdashloo, "House of Sand and Fog"; Patricia Clarkson, "Pieces of April"; Marcia Gay Harden, "Mystic River"; Holly Hunter, "thirteen"; Renee Zellweger, "Cold Mountain."
Best Director: Fernando Meirelles, "City of God"; Peter Jackson, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King"; Sofia Coppola, "Lost in Translation"; Peter Weir, "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World"; Clint Eastwood, "Mystic River."
My picks (for who will win, not who I think should win):
Best Picture: Master and Commander
Best Actor: Sean Penn. I think he'll finally be rewarded with an oscar. This oscar will basically represent oscar losses of the past.
Best Actress: Charlize Theron. Lots of buzz going on about Monster
Best Supporting Actor: Tough one. Tim Robbins might be too politcal to win, so I choose Ken Watanabe, who has an illustrious career pretty much overlooked by the American public
Best Supporting Actress: Renee Zellweger. Like Sean Penn, I think this is the year she gets an Oscar, and for the same reasons.
Best Director: It better be Peter Jackson. He should be awarded an oscar this time, and it will represent one of, if not, the greatest bodies of work in film history.

Master & Commander was my favorite movie last year, I'm glad to see it rack up 10 Oscar nominations. However, I think it's gonna be last year's GoNY and probably only win a couple.
My picks:
