i thought this game was going to be close and oklahoma winning by a measly 31-21 score. but after last nights cal ass whooping and ucla's loss to the collegiate power known as wyoming its become painfully obvious that the pac 10 sucks MAJOR ass. usc isn't a top 5 team much less playing for the national title. sorry auburn.
oklahoma in a rout now. 38-17

eh....
I won't rule out USC because of that.
Oklahoma State got thier ass handed to them by Ohio State in the Alamo bowl, and Oklahoma State in all honesty should have beaten Oklahoma in the normal season, they gave up alot of points they shouldn't have, so it just goes to show you....when you cross conferences like that, you really won't know what to expect until you watch the game.

krath, you are talking about one team. oklahoma state. as much as i hate the cheating bastards at ohio state, they usually are formidable when given 5 weeks to prepare for one game. plus they ended the season on a winning streak after my Hawkeyes beat the shit out of them.
as for comparing conferences. i indirectly was. didn't ucla play usc close until the last 5 minutes of their game? ucla lost to wyoming. didn't cal beat usc all over the field like a rag doll before they ended up losing at the very end? cal doubled them up in yardage, first downs, and time of possesion. the only reason usc won is cal played fumble rooskie and lost the turnover battle 3-1. 3 of usc's 5 scoring drives didn't go 38 yards.
literally half of usc's games were in doubt (10 points or less) with 5 minutes to play. this against conference opponents who's only bowl win is going to be oregon state of crappy notre dame.
bottomline is usc is a mediocre team from a shittyass conference. one playing in the championship game simply based off last years results. its easy to stay #1 when you never lose because you don't play any competition. no competition and yet they still managed to make half of their games close in the last 5 minutes. not the sign of a power team. much less one that should be playing in the championship.
usc scraped by with an opponent winning percentage of like .420. auburns opponents were like .470. oklahomas opponents were like .530. its kinda obvious which two teams should be playing.

thats what every team said before they were exterminated by the De La Salle team of concord, California. The one and only team to be shown on a magazine captioned "The Streak". Winning 140+games consecutively showing that the west coast owns everyone hardcore longtime.
note: concord,CA is from Northern california, USC is southern california. What i wrote was just bs.

de la salle is a juggernaut. thats not to be argued. but then again, what do you expect when a high school goes out and literally recruits the entire team. i have a feeling that there aren't 5 schools in the country that recruit as much as they do.
guess i just have old fashioned beliefs when it comes to high school. if you live in this area and have for a period of time, thats your team. when less than 5 kids on your roster have lived in that area for more than 5 years, well thats not high school. thats a farm system.
high school, you know, like the Bellevue, Wa team that ended de la salles streak.

My uncle was on the very first football team at De La Salle and played for the current coach. They don't recruit at all...they don't have to. They're a private catholic school, so kids can attend from anywhere. People who are good at football just choose to go to school there. Stop shooting your mouth off.

Pac-10 Football sucks, but USC is good. Should be a good game like the Rose Bowl hopefully.

To be perfectly honest it should be Auburn and OU in the Natiional Championship game, but that is just one football fans opinion.
I guess if I have to go for anyone in this piece of shit game I will stick with a fellow Big 12 team and root for the f*****g, god awful Sooners.

What do you people not get? USC PLAYED AUBURN LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE AND SCHOOLED THEM BOTH TIMES. I think that counts for a lot.

Last year and the year before do not count for shit except the preseason rankings!
There is only one other school that finished undefeated with as tough if not an arguably tougher schedule then Auburn. That team is OU.
I am not saying that SC is not a great team, but I think that Auburn is unrightfully being left out in the cold.
Now if SC does somehow pull off beating OU then I will give them some props, but only if that happens will I even begin to think they are more deserving then Auburn to be playing for all the marbles.

Oh yeah and just think of the dibacle that could happen if, and it is a big if, Auburn completely demolishes V Tech, and OU wins but not real convincingly.
SPLIT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love how all the OU fans think SC's going to get blown out, yet the team's are virtually even right now in Vegas. Furthermore, southern cal SHUT OUT auburn 26-0 last season. You're telling me that their freshman are going to turn a shutout, asswhooping into a win? I seem to doubt that.
USC has done nothing but get better this season, and to say that Auburn deserves to take USC's spot in the Orange Bowl is idiotic and blasphemous.
