Anyone know anything about setting up ranked servers?
Like...where do you get the software, is there any licensing to it?
Does anyone have a spare mainframe with a DS3 connection laying around?
I think it'd be awesome to have a server where everyone plays with their realpoor name like once a week or something....not all the time tho, i'd get sick of mugaaz sucking and blowing himself up

We have one, but its not ranked and they are small maps. (anything over 20 players and the t1 takes shit)
Do a search for -= BLC =- in the server list.

pimp, didn't know you guys had one up.
What's the ping times like? Cause it's hard as shit to fly a chopper if you have like any lag at all.
I miss moving the carriers =/

yeah the rental is fuckign expensive too, like 8 bucks a (slot)head per month.
Lag doesnt seem too bad, sign on and check it for yourself.

I have some friends from BFV who are trying to get a server ranked.. EA won't release the ranked server to anyone who is not their 'partner'.. so basically you're f****d on that count.

theres some servers that are ranked at about 5bucks aslot
currently we have a sever with clanservers but they dont' have ranked yet..if they don't by end of month we'll be changing

f**k ranked, once people get the weapons they want it will be pointless/waste of money.
You can unlock the weapons manually on unranked servers anyway (tho you may find your server not on Gamespy's master server list anymore).
If the server is well admined, and lag is almost non-existent, whats the problem ;p
Somebody with some spare bandwidth/nice connection and extra hardware set one up!
