The first one was a result of him firing an M79 grenade a little to close to his boat when no enemy was present. His commanding officer at the time, turned it down, but Kerry found ways around that.

"I'd say right now Kerry has the edge," Mr. Dole said. "I'm looking at the Electoral College in the battleground states. And even though they didn't get a bounce in the convention, you know, people got to know John Kerry. I think most people liked what they saw. There's a little backlash now because of all the Vietnam thing. But he's probably ahead."

Kerry did have the edge...last week. But the truth came out. Kerry might still have an electoral edge, but he sure has fallen:

He still hasn't released them and refuses for reasons unknown. Republicans are asking that he release them to clear things up, but he continues to refuse. These aren't his current medical records (that candidates are often weary of releasing) but his military medical records from 1968.

Kerry has published selected excepts from his military records. He has not released them to the public. To do this he needs to fill out a two page form, SF-180. However, those records would contain things like: the orginal reccomendation for the awards (written by Kerry), the medical officer's report on the self inflicted wound he got his first purple heart for....etc..

Actually Kerry got copies of ALL his military records within the last 10 years, guess he was planning to run for CINC.

I will probably watch 9/11 once it comes out on dvd, just for my own morbid curiosity.
Also, Bush isn't playing the war hero card, unlike Kerry, which is why we want to see his so bad, and why it looks so bad that he is hiding it.
