I asked the same question about 2 weeks ago when it came out. Got no response.  It sure looks good though. Unfortunately I have found a sweet exp spot in EQ and have forgotten that other games exist.

lol I am getting tired of all the noobs who call ELITE players like me cheaters lol.
Seriously though I own maps like bridge and radio tower and damn near every time I play I get called a f*****g cheater. Just because I can 203 your ass from the other side of the map BECAUSE YOU STAND IN THE SAME f*****g PLACE EVERY ROUND does not mean I am a cheater lol.
I know what you mean though, since the game has become so popular every 10 year old in the world needs to let everyone know his or her opinion.

lol yep. One recent game comes to mind in Radio tower where every assaulter but one died and someone started a votekick on the guy with 6 minutes left because the guy who started it didnt want to wait for him to attempt to try. The guy ends up getting all three objectives and winning so the guy who won started and suceeded on votekicking the impatient guy off lol--that was some funny shit.

honestly though I can't see me buying another game for a while. I play AA almost every night and play bf1942 sometimes as well plus beta testing Planetside and SWG. I wouldn't mind checking it out but I doubt I would like it better than AA.

bah, why waste time on inferior games when you all can be playing Desert Combat .03. This edition arguably makes DC the best mod ever made. I don't even bother playing regular bf1942 anymore and I was ranked in the Top 1% so you can tell how much I played and liked that game. DC is that good!

I havent played BF1942, looks too arcadey from me, esp fromt he reports of my friends that play.
plus they are basically two diff genres, BF1942 is quake style respawn kill die respawn, AAO and Raven shield are more tactical and realistic.

thats not always true. especialy with games like wc3. i was playing one of the arena maps and this guy had like 200,000 hps and 8000 on every stat in like 10 mins. there is no way to get that without cheating. even if you kill everything on the map it is not possible. you would have to get 4000+ powerups. he said the same thing. just cause your a newb and im elite dont mean i am cheating.
but with first person shooters and strategy shooters like raven shield your right. you can get really good. i play UT alot and there are people that play every free minute of every day and hop around in all directions and can aim and shoot and run jump al that in one shot and kill you every time. i hate that about fps games. people just jump constantly. thats the one thing i like about ut. you can get a multirocket spread and still get them.

Bunny hopping in AA makes you dead real fast heh. Its not a CC or Quake style game at all. You cannot fire while hopping, your CEM (which is what you need for accuracy) goes to nothing and if you hop more than a couple times you don't go up very high and it takes a long time for your CEM to get back up.
Circle strafing is a valid tactic in AA though and something I dont like. I wish they implement something where if the Enemy gets that close you can grab his weapon and butt stroke him with it lol.
I was just kidding about the elite thing though. I am good but not one of the best I dont think. The maps I play on I kick ass but some of the maps that I don't know I die fast heh.

Yup on MOUT I own all, im running qwith 17-20 kills per 7 game set (though I have caught people cheating, like headshotting you from across the map through the fog with a m16 with no extra shots fired, a few times in a row)
on maps im not familiar with, I am cannon fodder, I do so quickly.
So hehe I stay on mout, usually [DUG] Chicago (its live fire using the MOUT map.
Yeah raven shield is Rainbow 6 v3
people die easier but there are alot of diff games now like terrosit hunt and cooperative or DM.
Its pretty awesome.

sounds like a good game then. ill have to give it a try. i hate the hop thing and love the accuracy bit. circle straffeing will get owned if i can lead like i do in ut.
im goin out to get rs after work. f**k it ill download the gold edition stuff when it comes out.
i think aa is medal of honor: allied assualt. not positive though

Well the difference is this: Vehicles and Fighting on big maps as opposed to closed quarters a la Counterstrike. RS and AA are simply updated versions of CS. BF1942 is nothing like quake in fact the only thing that you can remotely compare it to is maybe tribes. Anyway, this version of dc makes bf1942 gameplay feel sluggish in comparison and has a ton of new classes including spec ops and vehicles/weapons such as Harriers, Scuds, Hinds and Blackhawks. Hell, they even have stealth fighter coming and the ability for the opposition forces to suicide bomb and there is just way more competition in the bf1942/dc genre. More people to keel is always a good thing And btw, if you play in tourneys, bf1942 and dc can be far more tactical than aa even. You just need to play with the right people who know their shit.! ^^

nah it wont take you long. You have to pass basic training and an online MOUT course before the rest of the maps open up though.
If you just want to play dont worry about getting expert on rifle range and move on as soon as you qual. You can always go back to the rifle range to qualify as expert and open up sniper school.

all in all i see about 400 megs of stuff im gonna download. there servers are good so it shouldnt take me more than and 1.5 - 2 hrs if i hold 275k. usually do  god i love having nobody on this trunk. i get all the bandwith.
