Whats the difference Between DDR and DDR2 ram?
Which do I need if I get a:
64 3500+ / 2.20GHz Socket 939 2000MHz $364.99
The higher the Mhz the better right?
Whats the difference between PC5400 and PC4200?

Your motherboard needs to support it.
And I don't think AMD based boards do DDR2 yet.
Also, the performance difference isn't enough to be appreciated.

Yeah it's actually pretty confusing. DDR2 seems to be the future because DDR has pretty much been pushed as far as it can be pushed. But DDR2 has somewhat higher latency and won't show much of a performance improvement unless it's actually being pushed hard enough to require that additional performance.

Oh, to answer your 5400 or 4200 question.
The 5400 would be faster technically, but you wouldn't be using it unless you plan on overclocking. The faster the RAM the faster the FSB can be. 4200 would be the RAM to get if you don't plan to OC.
Think about it this way:
If your RAM is PC4200 then your FSB can be 200Mhz. The 3500+ has a muliplier of 11. 200Mhz x 11 = 2200MHz or 2.2GHz.
