Now, this looks legit, it even shows in the email source it is from Jagex.com...BUT....ALWAYS look a gift horse in the mouth. The scammer did not bother to read any of my posts,else he would have seen i have never played runescape and i think the game is a joke by viewing the interface,graphics( Personal opinion ).

Yes,someone is here grabbing emails posted on topics i assume.
I have gotten several scam attempts for paypal and runescape, which i do not even play
I cannot stress it enough, PAYPAL and JAGEX will not give a redirect link in their email to a log in screen.
Paypal always calls you by your name in their emails, not member

One suggestion for all members.
Always use (AT) instead of @ when you leave your e-mail addresses here or on any other place on the web.
By that you'll avoid possibility that spam bots or other automated processes take your e-mail and you'll avoid receiving of such messages.

I find it tasteless that we run a secondary site, http://realpoor.com ,that is fraught with so many people trying to constantly solicite information, thru phishing, from our members. Too date this person has stolen, no less than, 34 member accounts for the game mentioned above. The note below was meant to do nothing but scare children who do not know better
Jagex was notified as was 1and1 hosting the URL provider as was Comcast.net where the initial email was sent from. No matter how many hops it makes, an IP can be checked thru email. And 1and1 is webmail unless you pay another 35.00 a month, and someone scamming someone for RS accounts ( since i doubt anyone actually PAYS for one)is not going to have the 35.00 a month
ALL of you people scrambling for MSN names, MAKE a seller or buyer EMAIL you from a valid email account. if they say " I go to school, i do not have one" tell them to stop pthrowing mamma's money away on games and get an education.
That one little thing can help you so much more. Cause, God as my witness, a DOS attack will pretty much make anyone cry and apologize
(This thread in noway endorses or encourages DOS attacks...really...no really...)

I did get also few 'jagex moderator' mails, Both were different. My RL mate fall for it. You need to be retard to fall for it to be honest.
