First of all, do starting stats really matter in this game?? I really want to be a wood elf warlock but the starting intelligence is pretty crappy. Will my starting stats matter in the end game?
Secondly, after playing beta what do you guys feel is the least played class? I hate being what everyone else is. Scouts dont really interest me and I want to be good. Shaman, Druid, Warlock, Brawler?
Thanks

No, you'll be fine.

Play whatever you want - there'll be plenty of every class.
Remember that even though there are 24 classes, essentially you only have 16 or so on your side - most final subclasses can only be either good or evil. (ie you can't be an evil templar, you have to be an unquisitor)
From what I heard brawlers kinda suck, so it'd be shaman/druid if you want to be the healer, warlock for dmg dealer. Brawler for being the red-headed step child.

Are you skilled mage or a hardboiled warrior in search for most suitable guild to join?
Or if you're already guild member ready to share some real PvP experience…

I am like the worst at picking a class to play. All I know is that I wanna be a wood elf cuz I loved the look of my beta Wcharacter. I swear in WOW i have like one of every damn race/class combo. Im the queen of starting characters. =P Its like some sickness, I just cant stop myself.
However, in EQ2 im gonna be playing with all my RL friends so I really gotta keep up and start what I plan on playing to the end.
OK so brawlers suck, I dont wanna be a scout. This leaves druid, warlock, shaman, or warrior but I bet warriors will be a dime a dozen. Oh f**k ill prolly end up being a damn pally again. I love wearing plate and I love the versatililty of being a decent fighter but also having a lil finger waggling.
Are you absolutely certain starting stats wont matter at the end?
Has anyone played a shaman? Are they any fun?

That's only semi-true. Although any race can be any class, you can't be a ranger in freeport, or a SK in Qeynos. You have to complete the betrayal quest by the time you hit 17, but can't choose the final subclass until after that. So if all your friends play evil, you can't play a ranger and still go to freeport. If you were to join an evil guild with a good char, you would miss out on some benefits, so there's no real point in it. Might as well go with an evil char then and reap all the rewards.

Yeah, 15pt difference (at most) isn't game breaking. An ogre wizard won't be as good as an erudite, but I bet at lvl 50 in full raid gear the difference would be 1-2 spells at most. And that's the worste race/class combo.
Ultimatively - play what you have fun playing. No point in passing up on being wood elf, just because someone else has 5 more mana, but gets hit more often. (in EQ II you'll want most stats balanced anyway)

Make one decission at a time - first go either mage or fighter, then you have up to lvl 10 to decide what you like most.
Combat arts for fighters work pretty much the same as spells for casters, so you'll have some action either way.
Different between druid and shaman is, that druids have heals over time and shamans get wards (runes in EQLive, but don't use a component) - clerics get reactive heals. (procs when the guy with the buff gets hit)
