I have a question for Eve Online veterans. How do you make ISK in the game? I just love this game, and I am making ISK very fast. As a result, I must wonder what is you way to make them. I hope that you would tell me, and maybe I will find new and better way. Everything about this game is great. From the ships, to the story and the game-play. How could the developers come to such a good ideas?

ISK are so good thing for Eve Online that without them, the game would not be the same. I am earning and making them in the legal way, with the trading. I think that it is the best way to get ISKs. I just cannot figure out all those pirates, who are just stealing someone else's earnings. It is so sneaky and illegal. I would never approve that. Only the legal and good way is the best way. All those bad gamers will be caught and punished. I will play this game for a very long time, and I will make ISK the correct way.

One way is to rat, as they say, killing NPC's in 0.0, that will give good money, if your in a corporation with 0.0 access... in empire, making money is mostly by trading/crafting items there is some great trade routes where you can earn a few bucks. Also doing missions is "normal" way to start with, you can get good money later in the game from running L4 missions quickly...
And then they are the people who macros, doing macro mining making over 500mill/isk a month from having a computer running a few hours a day mining minerals....
So as you see, there is many ways to make money, legal and illigal. From piracy and from mission running. Hope this answers what you wanted to know?

I ran missions, traded, killed npc rats in 0.0. But I didn't make serious money until I started a second account and passively trained a caldari industrial/science alt. By passively, I mean I never left the station. I just bought skill books, trained and logged. After about 10-12 months my alt had about 15mil skillpoints. I then traded him for isk to another player. I made 1.5 billion for that single character. Half that billion I invested in a few IPOs listed in the market forums on the official eve-o website. I made another 100mil from that investment.
About this time I started running lvl4 missions, (after doing a lot of other stuff, including joining a big 0.0 alliance allied with BoB and then later fighting BoB.) I made another few hundred million isk running the lvl4 missions for about 2 months. This included looting and salvaging 90% of the mission wrecks.

I found exploration is a good source of income, but depending on area it can be farmed out. best way to make loads of isk is to get into 0.0 and Rat. make sure you make friends or join a corp/alliance that owns the space.
Its risky yes but that is where the money is.
For ratting I found chaining is best. Chaining is where you find a system with 10+ belts and a low true sec status.

What you do is go through every belt and clear all rats if there isnt double 1.1m value rats or higher. Once you find dual/triple 1.1 or higher, only kill the battleships and move on.
After some time you can set up every belt with double 1.1m rats or higher and just go belt to belt killing battleships. You can make 50m a hour if effective easily.
Another tip is to find the chinese macro ratters. They dont like company and are the ones that log off when you come in system. Find what systems they camp. Go to those systems and find the macro ratters already have the chains going.
