I want to install my parents' Windows XP onto my PC, but when I do it says the key is invalid (im guessing b/c its already in use?)
Is there anyway to get around that?
Would burning the OS from my parents' computer enable me to use that key? If so, how do I burn an OS? Never done it before...
And if that wouldn't work either...anyone got a working key?

Try Linux! They won't know the difference. If they can click 'Start' and then 'Web browzer' they really won't.

Is this Windows Xp Home edition or Windows XP Professional ?
Home edition has the annoying 'phone home' hardware HAL enforcement crap, but there are a gagillion cracks for it.
My recommendation is to find someone with a Windows XP Professional CD (or a download) and then find a key running around (much more likely to work).

There is a crack (also a key gen that didn't work for me) floating around for XP, it seems to work fine. It has been so long i don't remeber the name, check Kazaa.

Its Home Edition :x
If theres a working crack out there it'd be alot easier to just install from my parents' CD then just enter in a fake (but working) key or whatever.
