It can be a bit complicated for a beginner to understand but just take it slow. When you buy the game and enter the online world of Guild Wars it will become much clearer. Im a newbie myself and Im still trying to learn the ropes. I played some other online games earlier, and I think that classes are similar to professions in Guild Wars. I know that there are six basic professions in the first campaign, which Im currently playing, and Ive read that in each new campaign they introduce some new professions, but those 6 basic are retained. Perhaps some of the more experienced players can say something more about this.
