Say I wanna take a flight to alaska. Say I would also like to bring some weed with me to alaska. Do they do sniff searches or on-person searches for those kind of things?
In short:
Can you take marijuana on flights? Say a flight into Alaska?

I've flown with pot many times.
My method is to put it into a bag, then another bag, making sure to make it completely airtight. Then I roll that up and put that into an opaque bottle of shampoo that still has lots of shampoo in it. Like Head & Shoulders. (Which I use)
Then fly on your merry way.
Unless you do something really stupid they won't ever open your shampoo up and search in there =\.

You know the reason it really worried me was because of my destination being Alaska. Pot is legal over there and im sure they like to bust people who have pot on them before they get to a state where its legal.

Yeah I am Frash, not anytime soon though. Me and some friends are planning either a road trip or a flight to Anchorage or Fairbanks(Still havent decided where we can find the nicest log cabin). We'll be getting there around the end of the year, maby around new years. I'll definately let ya know if we are coming close to ya.

Hmm another idea. LoL the best part about this is that we were adding up all the costs and putting together the details when the issue of "how to transfer the pot" came up. We all thought about it for like 10 minutes then I just said ill ask here and find an answer. Low and behold....I've already found 2. <3

I have a friend who used to send over hash from spain w/e he went to visit his family there. He sent it in the shampoo bottles too... I miss that stuff

I knew this guy that got a dufflebag, like the workout bags the big ones. Get a ton of altoids cans and fill the altoids cans with pot. Put real altoids cans on the top incase anyone wants to look at it. It worked perfect, just carry on. This was before 9/11 though.

Pot is illegal federally, so it doesn't matter if it's legal in the state. The feds can arrest and charge you.

Pot is illegal federally, so it doesn't matter if it's legal in the state. The feds can arrest and charge you. |

I'm not debating whether or not carrying contraband across state borders should be illegal. I'm saying right now it's a crime. If you find yourself doing 2 years in prison (have a good time explaining that on job interviews, btw), that's 2 years without pot. Normally.
The tradeoff doesn't work in any sense. Just wait a week for god's sake.
