I'm thinking about purchasing an xbox 360 from ebay.. They say its in good condition and 30 days money back gurantee... It's only 185$... is this worth it?

yea thats a good deal with the guarantee, one thing i dont like about ebay for 360s is you never know if they have the red ring... and all you can do usually is leave bad feedback

Well even if it does have the 3 red rings, you can always send it in for free to Microsoft and they will either fix it or send a new one for free.

185 is a good deal jsut make sure its not a scam i got hit out of 185 b4 on one over a year ago then i had to go pay full price for one but good thing i did i have one that hasnt messed up thank god

Good deal, just make sure that he isnt just selling a xbox360 withouth the cables and/or HD. Also check if there aren't any other deals with an xbox360+ lots of games, they can be very cheap.

Knowing the troubles with hardware failure on the 360 idk if it's worth the risk

I think it's definatly a good deal. And after all, the Xbox 360 is the best console there is  Best games, achievements are making it even better, and the arcade part is also great. I've got this thing for over 2 years now and I still love to play on it

i think you should wait for a deal like that with a hard drive o.o. You're most likely gonna end up buying one adding 70 more bucks i think w/e it costs.

In November Microsoft's 3 year coverage of xbox 360s is up for first generation units. So send it in for free repairs before then at the first sign of any trouble. . . it's a good price, the only thing I'd ask about is if the warranty has been voided by any tampering. A first run unit with a voided warranty is a brick waiting to happen.

185 seems expensive IMO. Buy a 360 with the 3 red light error and do the x-clamp fix. 98% success rate. I will be buying/fixing/selling them very soon here. Used to do it with PS2's and Xbox's a few years back thanks to sony and microsoft giving them consoles crap lasers/drives hehhehehe. Made a killing too!
