I want to play World of Warcraft. For that reason, I need to know which is the profession that brings the best profit in this game. I want to be rich. I know it might not be the essence of this great game, but it is my choice. I have read many phenomenal articles so far, and in many of them, I found out useful tricks and tips. The thing I did not is about profession that will bring me the best profit.

You are smart if you chosen to play World of Warcraft. It is the best game on the market. The millions of active gamers will tell you how good this game is. There are many way to get rich in this game, and that is why it is very close to real life. You must not forget it is MMORPG, and you must be patient while you play it. You cannot get best profits in first several days. It will take you weeks, if not months to see any real progress. Developers managed to include several great professions, so every gamer will have some great choice. WoW is phenomenal game, and I will guarantee you will have fun while you are earning and piling profits.

On my server the "money making" professions are Herbalism and Mining.
You use herbalism for stacks of raiding mats and mining for Jewelcrafters to prospect in hopes of getting gems which you in turn sell off.
With those two maxed out you can make a very decent amount of cash.
On a normal week I can pull in roughly 5000-6000g if I waste my time farming.

I have a 375 alchemist - transmute spec I don't like to farm so I just buy the mats to make skyfire's ~120g and sell them for 170g once a day. When I get a transmute proc thats an extra 170 or more depending how many procs I get.

If you're looking strictly to maximize income flow, then yeah, go with herbalism and mining. Both professions are even better if you already have your epic flying mount which makes farming a breeze.

I'd go with mining and jewelcrafting. If you mine on your spare time you can prospect it and then craft the gems into cut gems... and sell those on the Auction House. Or you could just go Herbalism and Mining. Herbs sell for a lot and like I said before you could mine ore and have a jewelcrafter friend just prospect it. Hope this information helps!

DO NOT PICK JEWELCRAFTING
ive spend thoussands upon thousands of dollars on patterns. the only part of jewel crafting is prospecting that acutally makes good money. which you get the sucker in your guild who jcs to do for you.
look at it like this
in the peak of jewelcrafting blues i would spend anywhere from 200-500 on a pattern, at 5 gold a cut
thats anywhere from 80 to 100 cuts per gem just to break even.

I vouch for mining and jewel crafting. I have that on my main and it does bring in the money! but just Gathering profession are good too. Most likely mining and herbalism because the price of leather has dropped some.

Jewelcrafting by far if you can can find some Chinese farmers to supply ore at a cheap price. A buddy of mine made about 70k gold, sold it and bought himself a new computer.

Truth being told .. the best moneymaking professions are the gathering professions .... mining is a must ... you can get skinning/herbalism as a secondary.
