Was on TV.

Fox went to the McKinney story as they deem it more important I guess.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President d**k Cheney's former top aide told prosecutors that he believed President Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case.

How do you 'leak' public knowledge of the fact that she worked at the CIA? She was never james bond, she never went 'under cover' to save the universe. The whole CIA leak thing is a big to do about nothing by the lefty idiots like you thrashing about like two-year olds because you lost the 2000 election, the 2004 election, and have minimal hope for 2008.

HAHA!

Where do you show that it was public knowledge? Every thing I have seen shows that no one knew. Trying to minimalize the situation doesnt change the fact that our Administration is outing our spies as retaliation in a time of war.

Right, ruining a person's career and possibly threatening her is a big to do about nothing, because it really doesn't matter, after all, it was only one person that had everything they had worked for and built up over a long period screwed over in one fell swoop. According to the wikipedia entry on her,

Quote:
Former CIA official Larry C. Johnson, who left the CIA in 1989, indicated Plame had been a "non-official cover operative" (NOC). He explained: "...that meant she agreed to operate overseas without the protection of a diplomatic passport. If caught in that status she would have been executed."

Quote:
At his October 28, 2005, press conference, Special Counsel Fitzgerald noted:

Valerie Wilson was a CIA officer. In July 2003, the fact that Valerie Wilson was a CIA officer was classified. Not only was it classified, but it was not widely known outside the intelligence community. Valerie Wilson's friends, neighbors, college classmates had no idea she had another life. The fact that she was a CIA officer was not well-known, for her protection or for the benefit of all us. It's important that a CIA officer's identity be protected, that it be protected not just for the officer, but for the nation's security. Valerie Wilson's cover was blown in July 2003. The first sign of that cover being blown was when Mr. Novak published a column on July 14th, 2003.

So, Frax, while she may not have been out to save the universe, she was just out to do her job, possibly like you and I, and she got f****d because her husband decided to print something that Mr. Bush & Co. didn't like. How would you like for your employer to go after your family if they had information on you and you were trying to expose something they didn't want made public?

If you do, go move to some place where you live in perpetual fear of your government. The Plame affair was not just a liberal "to-do".

Ruining her career? She's been stationed in Langley since 1997 doing desk work. That is not 'covert'. Once again, this is a big to-do about nothing.

Quote:
THE PRESIDENT: Yes. Let me just say something about leaks in Washington. There are too many leaks of classified information in Washington. There's leaks at the executive branch; there's leaks in the legislative branch. There's just too many leaks. And if there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. And if the person has violated law, the person will be taken care of.

And so I welcome the investigation. I -- I'm absolutely confident that the Justice Department will do a very good job. There's a special division of career Justice Department officials who are tasked with doing this kind of work; they have done this kind of work before in Washington this year. I have told our administration, people in my administration to be fully cooperative.

I want to know the truth. If anybody has got any information inside our administration or outside our administration, it would be helpful if they came forward with the information so we can find out whether or not these allegations are true and get on about the business.

Yes, let's see, Kemper -- he's from Chicago. Where are you? Are you a Cubs or White Sox fan? (Laughter.) Wait a minute. That doesn't seem fair, does it? (Laughter.)

Q Yesterday we were told that Karl Rove had no role in it --

THE PRESIDENT: Yes.

Q -- have you talked to Karl and do you have confidence in him --

THE PRESIDENT: Listen, I know of nobody -- I don't know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information. If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action. And this investigation is a good thing.

And again I repeat, you know, Washington is a town where there's all kinds of allegations. You've heard much of the allegations. And if people have got solid information, please come forward with it. And that would be people inside the information who are the so-called anonymous sources, or people outside the information -- outside the administration. And we can clarify this thing very quickly if people who have got solid evidence would come forward and speak out. And I would hope they would.

And then we'll get to the bottom of this and move on. But I want to tell you something -- leaks of classified information are a bad thing. And we've had them -- there's too much leaking in Washington. That's just the way it is. And we've had leaks out of the administrative branch, had leaks out of the legislative branch, and out of the executive branch and the legislative branch, and I've spoken out consistently against them and I want to know who the leakers are. Thank you.

Yeah because senior advisors to the VP and the President tend to make up these things when they get in trouble... the source of the information comes with enough credibility to at least consider it and most definatly investigate further.

I have no idea if it's true or not, but if it is everyone involved needs to be impeached/fired and face serious criminal charges. This isn't a republican vs democrat thing (I'd like to see Bush remain President until the end of his term), but if someone discloses classified data over a petty argument that person needs to be kept far away from any position of power.

It most certainly is a left vs right issue. The guy on trial hasn't even been charged with releasing classified information, NO ONE has been charged with anything directly relating to that. This Libby guy was charged with obstruction of justice and perjury.

If anyone can prove Bush ordered the release of information that was damaging to our country, then he deserves to get impeached. However, no one has proven anything.

Lefties just want some show hearings to go along with the Clinton hearings.

Blow Jobs and outing spies are the same damn thing I guess and the Lefties are just blowing shit out of the water for no reason. Damn scumbags. I wish they would concentrate on more important things like that b***h that slapped a cop cuz she crazy or some watered down immigration reform that wont help a damn bit.

Isn't there a war going on somewhere?
