Hi guys
Im new to the GW world myself, just been wondering what most of you people are playing these days what class combos do you think are the most effective in PvP and what in PvE also I have just the original GW and I hear that’s not enough to play Eye of the North and I need to buy either Nightfall or Factions is that true?!

Hello, and welcome to the game.
Regarding GWEN (Guild Wars: Eye of the North), I'm afraid it's true, you need one of the older expansion packs (Prophecies, Nightfall, Factions) to play this one.
Regarding builds, there's a number of specialized sites that will provide you with more insightful advice than you'll get on the boards. Try the GW wiki for starters.
