There was the update 1 which added 10 extra levels, a couple new zones, outdoor instanced missions, a couple new villain groups and some new villains for existing groups. The next update is due out in about a month or so from now, they plan to release one every 2 months.

sooo its the same stuff just different mobs and zones.
I fail to see how this game can keep your attention since your limited on loot and there is no pvp.
Fun game for a casual person i suppose.

All games eventually go the loot route. It's the only way to keep up with other MMORPG's. It keeps the people mindlessly playing. You get all the loot you need.....damnit new expansion...omg hours of getting loot mindlessly again....new expansion...rinse repeat. It's not the fact it interests people to get loot, but getting that loot for a short time makes them feel better than the next guy/gal. It usually makes them more competitive and gives them an advantage over joe blow.....which is what most people are working towards since they're probably a follower IRL living a subpar life.

there is some uber type loot if count the double bonus enchancements
if they can do pvp right, the game should be a super for a while

i dont play it
i played it during beta, bought it then realized b4 my free month was up that the game was trash. Great for a casual gamer and great fun for the first few weeks. I just fail to see how this game is worth a monthly subscription just like planetside.
Pvp is gonna need a lot of balancing to be put into this game. I have a feeling it will fail hardcore. You cant balance a game for pve then go back and balance it for pvp, eq tried this w/ the zek servers and failed.

CoV is not till till 2005, that is not as close as alot of folks where expecting it to be.
CoH looses it's interest for the simple fact their are no raids, no loot, and nothing to really shoot for. Why grind the levels when there is nothing to go for. I logged on for like 20min today and got bored and logged.
CoH is a damn nice game, very pretty, toon creation is great. Top notch out of any games I have seen or played. SWG, was good, but limited, at least in CoH you can pretty much make what you have imagined to some degree.
If they put in skills of some point, like I heard they will, it may put some more interest in the game, but for now I don't see CoH really bringing any people back till CoV/PvP comes out next year at some point. But by then I doubt people will come back. Year later to come back to a game... Oh well. I played, got bored.

CoH is leading sales of computer games, the next in line is 20% behind.
Also, Sounds to me like someone had no friends and ofcourse almost all games suck with pick up groups.

i played w/ former mokb ppl along w/ some ppl i met on kane
sooooooo
getting a group and such wasnt a prob
Of course sales will be good, its a good game. It just gets boring very fast doing nothing but exp'n. It reminds me of diablo2 but i have to pay a monthly fee for it.

This doesn't mean jack, you know this. The real measure of it how many active subscriptions it has, which is how all MMORPGs are rated against each other, in fact. You know this too.
