Just looking for input, anyone out there actually play on a dial-up anymore? Is it even possible? Any input be great.

If this is the real Sinstarr then no don't bother cause you are nothing but an account theif and nobody likes you.
To answer your question though yes you can play with a 56k connection the zone times are slow and in a raid unless you have everything turned off your gonna lag to hell and go LD.

been playing on dial up here since we started...
no problems cept the slower zone times (not always tho) and having to turn off effects in raids....

Were I stay I can only get 26k speeds on my 56k modem. I played EQ fine and dandy but went LD alot.
It also depends on yer computer.

layed for years on 56k, as long as I had a good computer it worked fine. would always lag in Busy zones thou(Bazaar). But for the cost, I went with DSL and will be swapping to cable soon(Great rate with the TV package).

I am on dial-up. I live 30+ miles away from civilization and the phonelines are very old that stretch out to this house. The best and most common connect rate for me is 22 kbps. Occasionally, the best I can do is 21.6 kbps and I can still manipulate a raid enviroment just fine.
I really only suffer connection difficulties in two occasions:
1) getting battle rezzed in.
2) multiple waves of spawns (ie: Bert encounter)

I had ADSL in Spain, but been on dial-up for 8 months since I got to the US. I usually connect at 48kbps and rarely go LD. Been fine in raids. Only trouble I ever had in EQ was videocard related, but I'm rockin w/ a 64 geforce 4 now.

I run a dial up connection and have very little problems....actually have 2 pc's sharing the connection and can run with little to no lag most of the time.
