Possible Scammer or just plain stupid?

I had a (very) quick chat with someone I found here on RealPoor concerning a mage up for sale, AIM is PuG767, RealPoor account name is kylepeer.

When I was contacted, he plain-out refused to hand out an Armoury page, saying I could be a Blizzard rep wanting to ban him. Now, this normally would strike me as strange, but nothing worthy of a scam, if I didn't read previously that the scammers at MMOwned, a big scamming community, also do the same thing and use the same excuse as to not show in-game.

Here's the AIM log;

[19:59] PuG767: but its a little unsafe for me to just hand out armory profiles

[20:00] PuG767: he is level 61, so he has most of the common 60 bc quest items

[20:00] Bethasde: Let me guess, I could get you banned if I see the Armory?

[20:00] PuG767: there is nothing stopping blizz reps from posting on sites like realpoor and MD

[20:01] Bethasde: Except the site's legally-binding contract you agree to when you register there.
