So is it in or what? I keep hearing that it's in, and then someone starts talking about how they should definitely include it and how great it was in DAoC, and how it's gonna be a damn shame if it's not in… What's the deal, then? Also, can someone give me the lowdown on how it used to work in DAoC, because I never played that. Thanks!

As far as I know, positional combat is definitely in WAR. Don't know the details yet, but the basic principle is there – attack, damage, and armor effectiveness will all vary according to the positions you and your foe take up on the battlefield. In DAOC, for example, attacking a tank from the front was a bad idea because of their shields and parrying, but if you struck them from the behind, you would ignore their shield and parry entirely – makes sense, doesn't it?
