I played in Beta and I bought retail. I like it, and have alot of fun. Others don't think so.
If you got cash to burn and want to try it out, do it. It's alot of fun when played right.

The game is fun, but one of those games that will be semi-dead within 2-3 months. Easy to play with the 'instant-action' so it doesn't take 4+ hours to actually get stuff done like in EQ.
All and all its a decent FPS.

Agree fully with Uglar. Something I do when I need some fast blowoff of steam, and I used to use a traditional FPS for.
Although, I will admit, it is very fun killing Uglar =p

kinda like eq? get group kill fc same mobs for hours get exp, maybe kill a god or soemthing?

No real suprise, being a SOE title, it was pushed out about 1-2 months before it should have been. The basic game was there & fun, it's just the long term game hadnt been developed yet.
Most people realize about after a month of play that playing a regular infantry character is no fun (alot of this is due to the really poor armor system), and find fun in playing a sniper, infiltrator, MAX, or a vehicle.
Even when you find a fun role, after a few more weeks you find yourself asking "why?"
It cracks me up that they're still doing major surgery on the XP system & haven't released any of the new features they were promising for post-release; I really can't believe people will still throw their money at SOE & have faith that they'll eventually deliver. You can pretty much bet the same is going to happen with SWG, rush it out the door for the initial sales & promise to fix it 'soon'.
SOE is quickly becoming even worse than EA as a publisher, something alot of people didn't think was actually possible.

It was like Tribes 2 in the fact that they both suck horrendously.
