Those are "IED" bombers. Meaning improvised explosive device. I guess they're bombs with all kinds of shit wrapped around them like ammunition rounds. They place them on the side of the road and they blow up when a car drives by. The guy who gave me these said he feels weird driving around here because he's used always looking on the side of the road for this shit, and not paying attention to what's in front of him

I know what your saying. I have a friend who said hes been trained to watch out for roadside explosives so much that he has trouble concentrating even here at home.

the smell of flesh is one you'll never forget

over time you'll grow used to it, you may even think about the family the guy just left..but eventually even those become distant memories
