Hello all, I am new to Eve Online and generally to MMORPG games as well. I want to ask how to know which skills to pick and how to train the skills. Also explain me the skill point system if it can be done in a couple of sentences… Thanks all…

Hi and welcome! Because you can train only one character in account, the training has some bonuses, such as continuing training even though your not there. The skill point system is not so complicated – tuffer skills require more points, so you need much effort to get them… And so on, take a look here! http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=167

One of the most useful tools you will ever find for Eve is a program called EveMon. check it out, you'll be glad you did.

Depends what it is you want to do. PVP you'll need high Perception and Willpower attributes to make training for ships/weapons faster. Science/Industry you'll need good Memory and Intelligence attributes. High social attributes are good for mission running.
It's best to train learning skills up first. It'll make your subsequent skill training a lot shorter. Boring, but it works out better in the long run. Implants also raise your attributes and make skill training faster.

i strongly recommend that u train learning skills before anything else. it will also give u time to decide what sort of skills will suit ur style of gameplay

the day you know you gonna play eve, pay it for a month and don't do anything besides training learnings. its worth the effort!!!

Agreed, learning skills first. It sucks and seems to take forever and we all know how it is to want to fly that bigger and better ship but in the long run you will be thanking us.
